I chose BestGlaze to fit a lightweight roofing system to my existing conservatory from the information provided on the roofing spec. I signed the order during April and knew that there would be a couple of months wait at least at this difficult time. Jay of Bestglaze kept me informed of scheduling and the work was completed by the end of June. I was very impressed with the workmanship and staff who came to do the fitting and with the fact that Jay would always answer any query I had within an hour or so.

I would recommend this company for any similar job as I am very pleased with the result. It started with a leak! Then t he wife wa nted new doors sigh so we had a new quote to include doors……and windows lol. We are extremely pleased with the end result and the work involved was a lot more than we expected, Jay, Tom and team certainly earned their wages! If you are thinking of a new roof go for Ultraroof with Bestglaze!

Having decided to renew my aging conservatory, and after a search on line, I gave the job to Best Glaze. The job is now completed and very much to my satisfaction in every respect. Disposal of the old, measurement of the new and installation all carried out in minimum time.

Jay, Tom, Steve and Harry were punctual, friendly and skilled. It was a pleasure to have them on my project and nothing was too much trouble for them.

I would say Jay and the team were good. Although if I did say that, I would be telling a lie. Instead, they were absolutely first class. Great communication, good banter and all fairly priced. Although most importantly, their workmanship is second to none as well.

I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending these guys to carry out the work that you require. The roof of my aluminium conservatory has leaked for some time. Best Glaze responded immediately to my initial phone call, arrived promptly and impressed with their professional approach to the problem. The work, which involved chasing new lead flashing into the cob wall of an old Cornish cottage, was carried out to a high standard.

When this did not completely solve the problem Best Glaze returned on a couple of occasions to deal with other issues. Now the conservatory is leak-free and has been fully tested by the recent appalling weather! It has been a pleasure to meet Jay, Tom and Steve. I consider myself lucky to have found Best Glaze online and have no hesitation in recommending them and their work.

Jane Simpson. When looking for a company to help with a broken window, I did a bit of research before making contact with a couple of local companies.

Best Glaze had very good reviews but not only that they were very helpful from the very first phone call I made. Best Glaze have proven to be very reliable and the service given has been excellent. They were also the only company that were able and willing to help us in a short time frame.

I have no hesitation in recommending them. We contacted best glazeto look at a 5 year old conservatory which was leaking.

Jay and Tom quickly explained the reason for the problems and e booked them to do the work. The seemed very knowledgeable compared to other companies. We went for a partial solid roof plug two roof windows. We were very happy with the work carried out. We were very happy with the work carried out and amazing results.

Conservatory is now dry and comfortably warm with new sills and guttering. Ill-fitting storm windows might also be the source of wind noise. Add weatherstripping to tighten wooden storms or replace the old storm windows. Windows may be built into wall openings in older homes, but if your home has been built after the post-World War II housing boom necessitated prefabricated units that could be mass-produced and installed onsite, they are most likely framed units set into a framed wall opening.

Whichever method was used in your home, you can remove the face frame of the window to reveal its inner framing. Pry these face pieces away gently -- some frames use bolts that can be removed with a screwdriver. Fill these spaces with expanding foam insulation to stop their moaning. Also the main bedroom window the bedroom we sleep in is suffering from condensation when it is cold outside, no trickle vents have been installed but the windows can be opened on the latch locked and when I leave them on the latch open through the night it does not cause the condensation.

I am wondering if we should have had trickle vents fitted in the first place? They are casement windows. Any ideas of what could be the cause? I do have the window company that fit them coming out to investigate the problem, but I am wondering if there is anyone out there that could give me some ideas for when they come.

DJMasterG , 25 Jan Pinnacle69 , 26 Jan Thanks Pinnacle69 I will try the paper suggestion. Also I would like to add that when the window installers removed the old windows they used an hammer and chizzle on the brick work bashing it to size for the replacement upvc double glazed frames to fit. Once the windows were fit you could see the side wall and gaps there.

They covered with plastic upvc trim and sealed with caulk. Is this the correct way to install windows. It looked brutal with the hammer bashing and the gaps created in the brickwork at the side of the windows? Cheers again guys. DJMasterG , 26 Jan No it took them 1 and a half days to fit 2 doors and 7 windows. They are coming out on the 7th feb to investigate the whining noise which i can demonstrate by opening and closing the bedroom doors quickly.

I will mention that to the guy that comes out because without the expanding foam means i am going to constantly have this problem. I don't understand why they don't do a good job first time round. Lets see if they rectify my problem or brush it off. Yeah i know what you mean.
